Kaña Coffee Roasters, based in Margate, Florida, traces its roots and roasting style back to Havana, Cuba. “Although Cuba has been roasting coffee for generations, we are a new kind of ‘cafetero’ [coffee roaster] that roasts coffee to achieve flavor profiles familiar to all Hispanic cultures, and appeal to all coffee lovers no matter their ethnicity.”
Kaña specializes in coffees grown in Latin American countries, but they import beans from all over the globe to create some of the world’s finest coffees. They slow roast the beans to achieve a deep dark roast expressing big bold tastes and smooth finishes. This roaster’s commitment to, and ‘amor’ [love] for this coffee can be enjoyed with every sip.
Kaña Coffee Roasters was established with the sole purpose of creating ‘café con sabor’ [coffee with flavor] that is be savored and enjoyed throughout the day with friends and family. With first pot, thought we'd used too much coffee as it was REALLY BLACK. No, it was perfect, and he got a little taste of home :-) Will buy again.

samumaiviti | Thu, 02/17/2011This is good coffee. It definitely has a very bold taste while still remaining really smooth. My first sip was surprising since I expected a bitterness to go along with the initial smokey, boldness, but as I sipped the rest of the cup I grew more and more fond of the coffee. I prepared it with a french press and that worked perfectly.
