Wakeknot | Wakeknot | Sat, 02/04/2012this will produce nice whipped up milk for drinks. It cannot match an espresso machine steam wand - ie producing microfoam, but you can't beat it for the price if you don't have an espresso machine.

avaserfi | avaserfi | Tue, 01/31/2012This is an okay machine if you have a tight space and want to rely on k-cups (or the refillable model). The water reservoir is very small and does require constant refilling. Can make decent coffee especially with the refillable cup.

THESE FILTERS ARE NICE FOR A (on Medelco Number 4 Con...)
intrepid510 | intrepid510 | Fri, 01/20/2012These filters are nice for a variety of reasons, namely you dont ever have to worry about being out of filters for your coffee maker. They also allow for a bolder coffee since the oils are not fitlered out more similar to a french press coffee. However they can are not as easy to use as paper since you have to thwack out the grinds into the garbage or compost!

GmanJenks | GmanJenks | Thu, 01/19/2012The Nantucket Blend is one of the finest K-Cups there is. In the "iced" format there is extra coffee for a bolder or larger cup. I have never brewed this over ice but have used it to fill a travel mug instead.

jbviau | jbviau | Wed, 01/18/2012...there have been reliability issues with this model. Keurig's warranty support is good, though, and you may not have a problem. Personally, I find the sweet spot with these brewers to be lower-priced; consider saving your $$ for the k-cups, which keep getting more expensive!

Son Ton | Son Ton | Thu, 01/12/2012Although a blade grinder is a good first step in enjoying fine freshly roasted coffee and certainly is much better than pre-grinding coffees, most people will want to eventually upgrade to a more capable grinder. My advice is to stay away from blade grinder. If you want a cheap and capable grinder, please consider a hand grinder such as the Hario Mini Mill!

intrepid510 | intrepid510 | Thu, 01/12/2012For a minimal cost you can have fresh ground coffee that is much better than anything preground. Since ground coffee is so small it stales quickly. The problem with these grinders is they dont make a very uniform grind, and you need to pulse it for a few seconds stop then pulse again until you get the desired consistency to make your grounds as uniform as possible.

Also, it is one of the few drip brewer that can deliver good temperature for correct coffee extraction without having to buy a Technivorm.

intrepid510 | intrepid510 | Sun, 01/01/2012This is my auto drip machine that I got as a wedding present, but with the thermal carafe instead of the glass one. I really like this model as it seems to be able to get the water to a good temperature for brewing as right as the brew cycle finished the coffee in the pot is at about 180 degrees, which after doing all that traveling I would imagine that means it's at around 190 when brewing so I do not get the sour notes of under extracted coffee that are common in so many other makers!

When I was starting to drink coffee seriously, I enjoyed very much the cappuccino and latte made with this device and the Bialetti unit that I had.

If you need something that looks good, this is the one for you, or you could look at La PAvoni Europicola etc. This uses ESE pod so you need to invest in the pods to get your coffee. Could be good(convenient) and bad(not as good as fresh coffee).
