BIG RED FRUIT AND (on Superba Coffee- Cost...)
broseph | Fri, 08/19/2011Big red fruit and well-rounded sweetness but also distracting roast notes, even after a few days rest. Also, the fruit is almost fermenty and dirty. It's supposedly wet-processed but it wasn't processed very cleanly. Tastes like a honey-process, which I personaly don't like. 4 stars in the grand scheme of coffee but compared to high-grade stuff, this is probably an 85-86 pt. coffee.

Theburton | Sat, 08/06/2011Rarely is my mother impressed with her mother's day gifts. This year however I thought smart and ordered her this fabulous cup. Imagine my surprise when not only did she like it she's still using it (at she claims to). Also as she's notorius for losing coffee mugs she doesn't like this one is a huge win. Definately a present I will be giving to other green coffee/tea lovers, but I think the next one is for me.

Scott Lush | Tue, 10/26/2010The dry beans have a wonderful sweet, almond-like, biscotti kind of aroma. When freshly ground our batch added an additional roasted peanut tone. Brewed in an AeroPress it had a full body almost aggressive mix of bittersweet chocolate, fruit and slight citrus acidity. With some cream this tasted like a rich rich rich cup with a kind of light fudge and cocoa flavor.

Scott Lush | Sat, 10/23/2010This Giraldo Exotico de Altura has a wonderful full body like the kind that made Colombian coffee famous in the US. In my brewing of it, done with an Aerobie Aeropress, I also liked the lemon- or orange-peel aroma. A little cream added slightly more fat that really brought out the full body of this coffee for me. Not even the slightest hint of bitterness. Drinkable, full-bodied, with slight milk chocolaty flavor. It you like Colombian coffees or a rich flavor, this is a great one.

lotozzi | Fri, 04/09/2010I look forward to waking up to a fresh pot of Superba coffee in the morning. It has a lovely smooth flavor, strong enough to add hot milk, but not burnt or bitter. Great packaging!
