THE BRIGHTNESS OF THIS (on Deep Cello Espresso ...)
hoonchul | Wed, 05/16/2012The brightness of this coffee really stands out and found it very refreshing. I'm loving it as straight espresso and with milk.
INTERESTING! (on Heart of Darkness: R...)
Son Ton | Thu, 05/03/2012Thank you for some interesting thought about dark roasts. I will definitely try the Nostromo at some point. Although there is one point I must disagree with, dark roasts to me seem to degrade much quicker than lighter roasted beans.
LOVE THE COFFEE BUT SHIPPING IS HOR... (on Black Tie™ Decaf R...)
richardsinger | Thu, 05/03/2012It took 2 weeks to get it. Nobody told me that it would take this long for the order to come through. finally, when it came, it came in a box. Klatch delivers in a large UPS envelope. Much better. that said the coffee is excelent.
THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE (on Italian Roast "Nostr...)
hoonchul | Thu, 05/03/2012This is one of my favorite dark roast so far! Its very well balanced with smooth finish and bit of brightness. I'm really enjoying this as espresso and cappuccino. I will definitely buy this again.
I DIDN'T KNOW DARK ROASTS (on Heart of Darkness: R...)
hoonchul | Tue, 05/01/2012I didn't know dark roasts had such bad rep. I've been really enjoying various dark roasts lately and will try the Nostromo tomorrow. Can't wait.
SUPER EASY - GREAT RESULTS (on Clever Coffee Drippe...)
fatnat79 | Tue, 05/01/2012There's a reason why this device has received so much praise. It works and is easy to use. I can even use it to make coffee for two (net 24 oz) by starting the drain a little earlier than normal and continuing to pour water while it's draining.
W/O LIGHT THERE IS NO DARKNESS (on High Jump Roast)
intrepid510 | Sun, 04/29/2012Well if Nostromo is the journey into the heart of darkness then this is what you receive when you get to the otherside. I don't mean to indicate that this is one of those sour face coffees that only 'coffee people' like it isn't. This is what everyone wished Starbucks 'blonde' roasts would taste like. Like all Deep Cello coffees exceptionally well rounded with what appears to be a sweet Brazil base in the blend that keeps the other acidic notes in the coffee in check. I would say this is a nice bite that is a good way to start the morning that perhaps some of those dark roasts just can compare with. Oh and did I mention it was nice to have the bag overfilled a little. =D
OH MY... (on Heart of Darkness: R...)
jbviau | Sun, 04/29/2012The "burrito" bit made me smile! What "addictive components" of dark roasts are you referring to? First I've heard. Interesting.
IT SEEMS AS IF THE DEEP (on Heart of Darkness: R...)
broseph | Sun, 04/29/2012It seems as if the Deep Cello offerings are all blends. It would be interesting to read why the company decided to go that route
HONESTLY NOT A BAD BLEND IN (on Heart of Darkness: R...)
intrepid510 | Sun, 04/29/2012Honestly not a bad blend in your offering, and the dark one is a nice one to start off a friend down the dangerous road to good coffee.
THANK YOU! (on Heart of Darkness: R...)
barkingburro | Sun, 04/29/2012Justin and I talked about the various Deep Cello roasts. I am grateful for the insight he shared, concerning how the other roasts perform, such as Bossa Espresso. And thank you again for your very kind words!
LITTLE TOO FRUITY AND BRIGHT (on High Jump Roast)
hoonchul | Fri, 04/27/2012Little too fruity and bright for my taste but I expected that from reading the description. I still very much enjoyed it and would order again if I want to mix it up a bit.
DECENT ESPRESSO (on Deep Cello Espresso ...)
dpablo19 | Sun, 04/22/2012Most recently, I received my beans with a touch more oil on the surface than what I was expecting. In the cup, there was decent crema, but it seemed to dissipate a bit quicker than what I was expecting. The espresso was sweet but occasionally I'd encounter distracting overly-smoky notes. This may have been a technique issue, but after going through an entire bag and a bunch of different technical approaches, I wasn't able to get a great to perfect pull.
THANKS TO MY BUDS AT ROASTE ! SHOUT... (on Italian Roast "Nostr...)

They nailed it when they sent me the sample and suggested I try it! Thanks to my friends at ROASTe. UP DATE...Just got in my order thanks for making it a full Pound upgrade Justin !
THE MELITTA WHITES WITH THE (on Paper Coffee Filters...)
broseph | Wed, 04/11/2012the Melitta whites with the perforations work nicely. haven't tried the bamboo based filters though
PRETTY GOOD! (on Bossa Espresso Sampl...)
samuellaw178 | Thu, 03/29/2012I've tried the normal sized Bossa before but I was dialing in a test machine (Crossland CC1) at that time. So I didn't really get to enjoy the Bossa to its maximum and thus this order. However, upon pulling the shot, the Bossa tasted a little different from my impression. It was a little brighter than I remembered. Still it was pretty good, especially when you brew it as a coffee. I tried it as Aeropress and it's definitely a very nice nuanced cup of Joe.
GREAT (on Black Tie™ Roast)
Texmexxhexx | Mon, 03/19/2012I ordered this coffee based on reviews, and they were right! Great tast great daily brew!
MADE A VERY TASTY CUP OF COFFEE! (on Clever Coffee Drippe...)
amandy | Sun, 03/11/2012After knocking my french press into the sink a few weeks ago, my sister loaned me her Clever Dripper while I decided what to do next. I love it! You get the beautiful flavor of a french press coffee, but a clearer cup. Personally, I'm not big on the sediment that comes from the french press filter. Because you use a filter in the clever coffee dripper, you can avoid that. The good: Tastes great, extremely simple to use, and you have control over everything. The good-or-bad: It's plastic - so it doesn't look good for long, but if you're clumsy like me, it will last longer than glass. The bad: It really only makes one (big) cup at a time, and there's no good way to pour half and save half for a bit later. Overall, the good outweighs the bad by a lot, for me.
CAN'T GET ANY SIMPLER! (on Clever Coffee Drippe...)
bdcline | Fri, 03/09/2012This is the best coffee device for pourover style brewing. You can let the coffee infuse properly while getting clean decanting from paper filters. You can't get any simpler or cheaper. You just need hot water, a gram scale, a timer, and a grinder. This allows you to save your dough on a good grinder, which is the key to great coffee!
SIMPLE PERFECTION (on Clever Coffee Drippe...)
paduncan | Fri, 03/09/2012Great way to have complete control over all elements of the brew process. The stopper mechanism is genius for putting your fresh, hot coffee right in your mug. And best of all, the price is right. Everyone should have one of these.
