GREAT MACHINE (on Quick Mill New Anita...)
Wakeknot | Fri, 03/23/2012This machine is a great E-61 machine that is hard to beat at this price. It can produce espresso as good as the more expensive machines like the vetrano. You give up conveniences like being plumbed in directly to the water supply but the cup of espresso and the price are fabulous.
AN INCREDIBLE VALUE! (on Quick Mill Andreja P...)
LJ Coffee | Fri, 03/09/2012After having owned a Starbucks Buon Caffee, Delonghi, and other 'toy' machines, I did a lot of research and bought one of these as my first high quality machine. It is built of commercial quality parts that will make this last many years. What I really liked about this machine was that it was a pourover (tank model), had beautiful stainless steel body (wife loved it), and it was not that loud (like some other machines). The quality of espresso that I could make with this rivaled high end commercial machines, and no need to go to the local coffee shop!
NO NEED TO UPGRADE! (on La Spaziale S1 Vival...)
LJ Coffee | Fri, 03/09/2012These are so well built and make such great espresso. The separate brew boiler can be dialed into a specific temperature to get right brewing temperature. Volumetric dosing and a great steam arm make it so easy! I have actually owned 3 of these! I entertained guests and one insisted that he wouldn't leave without the machine and another relative wanted one to go back with him out of the country. I had the chance to upgrade to other brands, but came back to this. Plus, Chris Coffee service provides incredible support and service!
GREAT MACHINE (on Izzo Alex II Semiaut...)
speedstar | Fri, 03/09/2012I have had mine for two years now and it has performed flawlessly. I am very pleased with the purchase. Chris's coffee was great to work with as well.
AWESOME MACHINE FOR STRAIGHT SHOTS (on Quick Mill Alexia Es...)
terranovant | Fri, 03/09/2012I've had this machine for a couple of weeks now and am very happy with it. I have the Watlow dual PID installed. I pretty much only drink straight shots and americanos for which it performs excellent. As an espresso only drinker I couldn't ask for more with the PID and e61 grouphead. The machine has a relatively small footprint and looks gorgeous. I have it on a timer so it warms up 45 minutes to an hour before I pull a shot. I don't think there is another machine out there that can pull a better shot without spending thousands more.
GREAT FOR AMERICANO DRINKERS (on Quick Mill Alexia Es...)
jmorleyk | Fri, 03/09/2012The Quick Mill Alexia is a fantastic machine for individuals that primarily drink espressos or americanos. If you’re into milk drinks or entertain frequently a heat exchanger or a double boiler machine will server you better. I bought the Quick Mill Alexia as an upgrade from a Rancilio Silvia. In hindsight I probably should have skipped the Silvia and started out with the Alexia. This machine is a big step forward from the Silvia, and the price different of a about $500 is modest. At least with the Alexia you’ve got a machine that you can be happy with for years.
NICHE MACHINE (on Quick Mill Silvano E...)
steveck | Fri, 03/09/2012This is a solid peice of equipment. Good aestetics. Large drip tray means I don't have to do repeated empties when serving several people. Makes a good cup, but hasn't wowed me. The PID is very nice and I wish it was more common on the more reasonably price machines. The reservoir has a good amount of capacity, but is difficult to fill/remove. Best to partially remove and fill with a pitcher. Can brew and steam at the same time, another uncommon feature at this price point. I hope to see more machines with these features around this price point.
NICE HX (on Izzo Alex II Semiaut...)
Wakeknot | Wed, 02/29/2012This is a really nice HX machine and it is great that with a flip of a switch you can go between plumbed in and using the tank.
GREAT MACHINE (on La Spaziale Mini Viv...)
Wakeknot | Wed, 02/29/2012this is a great machine with a cult like following including its own message boards. It is hard to beat.
GREAT MACHINE (on La Spaziale S1 Vival...)
Wakeknot | Sun, 02/26/2012the Vivaldi has a cult like following for a reason. It is also worthy of note that it is not very pretty in photos, but is nice looking in person.
A NICE MACHINE (on La Cimbali Junior Ca...)
Wakeknot | Sun, 02/26/2012this is a great espresso machine. It has a reputation of having a build quality equal to that of any machine out there.
EXCELLENT REPUTATION FOR (on La Cimbali Junior Ca...)
intrepid510 | Sun, 02/05/2012Excellent reputation for this machine as it's one of the few machines that can easily fit in a kitchen and give you without a doubt the professional results that we all desire in the cup of espresso. To get a better machine you are probably going to have to spend at least double to get a GS3 and perhaps more, as the results probably are not going to be that much better.
AMAZING MACHINE (on La Marzocco GS3 Esp...)
avaserfi | Tue, 01/31/2012Large even for a over-sized home setup, the GS3 is a pleasure to use and is very consistent. A perfect choice for someone with a lot of money or a small cafe/barista who caters.
EXCELLENT MACHINE! (on La Spaziale S1 Vival...)
Son Ton | Mon, 01/30/2012This machine is the bigger brother to the mini-vivaldi but they are very close. This one has rotary pump which mean it must be plumb in. It is for those who have a dedicated shrine to their espresso equiptment to plumb it in. However, plumbing in and plumbing out is worth it! You will be glad to forget about filling and emptying the drip tray! Talking about espresso, it is an excellent machine for that! Steaming milk is achieved consistenly by a separate steaming boiler! What else can I say!
A GREAT AND CAPABLE MACHINE! (on La Spaziale Mini Viv...)
Son Ton | Mon, 01/30/2012This machine has been my dream machine in a long time. In short, combining the consistency of PID and a separate boiler for steaming, it is one capable beast! pour-over mean that you do not have to hire a plumber for that expensive plumbing job. Just make sure to fill the tank up and empty the drip tray! What else can I say beside perfection!
A GOOD SUPERAUTO ESPRESSO MACHINE (on Quick Mill Monza Del...)
Son Ton | Sat, 01/21/2012This espresso machine is of the super automatic variety in which it will do everything for you except washing your dish :-> But seriously, it suppose to be one of the better superauto! Buy it if you would rather enjoy convenience but are not too much into espresso.
OH MY (on La Marzocco GS3 Esp...)
jbviau | Wed, 01/18/2012Who wouldn't want this beauty? No plumbing required either, which I find pretty sweet. The GS/3 is more compact up close than I'd expected.
THERE ARE A LOT OF MORE (on Quick Mill Silvano E...)
intrepid510 | Tue, 01/17/2012There are a lot of more expensive machines out there, but the key difference is that this machine was clearly built with the home user in mind. The ability to easily adjust the temperature and pressure, turn the steam bank off independently. You may not be able to make enough drinks for your wedding, but certainly being able to make enough for a small group in a quick manner. You can steam milk and pull espresso at the same time! And as always well made and Chris Coffee has nothing but stellar reviews for after purchase support!
I BELIEVE THIS IS THE ONLY (on Quick Mill Monza Del...)
intrepid510 | Tue, 01/17/2012I believe this is the only super-auto that Chris Coffee sells, and I think there is a reason for that. While I do not believe you can get as good of results with a super-auto compared to semi-auto. So if there is a need for a super-auto this is the one that you should get hands down.
DOES IT REALLY NEED TO RATED? (on La Marzocco GS3 Esp...)
intrepid510 | Tue, 01/17/2012If you are preparing to spend this amount of money on an espresso machine you have probably already heard of this one, and if you haven't you should. Basically you are getting a commercial machine that can fit inside of your home, and has the option of being a pour-over something that is not common in machine of this caliber.
