DELICIOUS AND MILD (on Eco Reef Fair Trade ...)

    angelagallion | Thu, 10/27/2011

In a household that usually sticks to dark roasts, the Eco Reef was a welcome alternative, especially during the warmer months. I loved a cup of this blend with a splash of almond milk and a dash of organic sugar. Also a delicious iced coffee, we will definitely purchase again and loved the tin the coffee was packaged in!

MILD & SMOOTH FOR A DARK ROAST! (on River’s Edge Fair ...)

    angelagallion | Thu, 10/27/2011

We loved the River's Edge for our morning coffee, nice and dark but balanced. Love that it's organic, and we were sad when we reached the bottom of the canister! A great pick-me-up on a cold, sleepy morning.

DARK, RICH AND SATISFYING (on Cattail Dark (Espres...)

    angelagallion | Thu, 10/27/2011

I am really glad we tried this one! After reading that the Cattail makes a great drip coffee as well as espresso, I was enticed to try it. I only make espresso at home on occasion, so it is great to have this on hand to use as either espresso or a drip coffee. This roast paired especially well with dessert. I would recommend it to anyone that likes a nice, dark roast.

MY FAVORITE FROM THIS COMPANY! (on Cattail Dark (Espres...)

    Tweeter78 | Wed, 10/05/2011

I liked these beans the best! A very smooth, full bodies cup of coffee when made in my French Press. The bean smell great in the canister and grind up to make a nice cup of coffee.

Nice morning coffee without the bite or intensity of the eco reef. Good, lite pick-me-up.

Love this organic coffee. I bought one for myself and one for a friend. He said that this was the best coffee he has ever had. It came in a can, which made it great for a gift and for storage after opening. It was smooth and fresh. Just what I needed to start my day. I would say this is a good breakfast coffee.

Very good aftertaste. I feel to get the full flavor quite a bit of grounds is needed. I would recommend this for someone who likes a not so strong coffee.

VERY SMOOTH ESPRESSO (on River’s Edge Fair ...)

    ray | Mon, 04/18/2011

This coffee (whole bean) produces a very smooth and flavorful shot of espresso. It's a little bit difficult to describe the exact combination of flavors, but I want to say there is a mild hint of oak in there. The espresso is very smooth as mentioned, which is a nice change from some of the more acidic and sharper / more bold flavors that some coffee beans tend to produce. I've also ground this coffee and used it in a french press, which produces a nice cup of coffee (although really I'm more of an espresso drinker, than coffee drinker). Definitely can recommend this bean for those who are seeking a mild/smooth shot of espresso. I think this bean would also be an excellent foundation for a caffe latte as well - or even a mocha perhaps.

A MIRACLE IN A MUG (on Eco Reef Fair Trade ...)

    Theburton | Sat, 04/16/2011

It's 3am and I still have to be up for another hours I slept horribly and as much as I don't like to drink coffee in the middle of the night I brewed a pot. What can I say other than it was a miracle in a mug. Most of the time I stick to a darker roaste more along the lines of an espresso but since I won this through roaste.com's spiffy facebook contests for free coffee what did I have to lose? The moment the aroma hit me I started to perk up. Eagerly anticipating my first sip there was as always that moment of hesitation would it be worth all the hype? Would my head still want to hit the keyboard? Happily I can say with it's smooth and mellow flavor I was more than happy to drink my coffee without cream or sugar and that with this blend it would have been criminal to stir in the powdered mystery creamer of doom that was available. In conclusion, I say try it....it's definately approved by me and the price is right.

A GOOD MEDIUM ROAST (on Eco Reef Fair Trade ...)

    handsandhart | Fri, 04/15/2011

The first thing I noticed about this coffee is the packaging. Proops to Chesapeake Bay Roasting Company for designing a great looking green package for their coffee. When I opened the package I smelled hints of chocolate and pepper. I also noticed these notes upon first taste as well. It had a smooth finish and all around good cup. I personally prefer a bolder coffee but would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a medium roast.
