For me, I tasted hints of flavor more akin to blueberry rather than something citrusy. It seems to become more pronounced as the coffee cools and hints of chocolate begin to emerge. I don't always enjoy drinking coffee black, but this was a pleasure.

Andrewkk | Andrewkk | Sun, 10/23/2011Ground some beans last night in anticipation of a cup to start a chilly October morning. Poured a cup just minutes ago and am drinking it now. The blend is mellow, which is different than smooth. Not particularly acidic but not smooth either. Perhaps a touch of bitterness but not unpleasant. Kind of like a highlands sotch to someone who drinks islay, good but missing a certain characteristic (with Scotch, peat, with this I am not quite sure). All and all a good morning starte though.

I usually sit with a cup in the morning while I boot up my computer and get ready for the day - one sip of Dakota Blend, then a second...I pushed away from my desk and went to the big comfy chair to enjoy this smooth, eye-brightener! From the first sip to the end of the pot this blend was pure bliss...

I found it deep and complex, strong but not bitter, chocolaty but not so sweet ... as I said - "interesting". I enjoyed every cup, whether its Espresso or Cappuccino, and can't wait for the next delivery to arrive.

xprzzo | xprzzo | Tue, 05/10/2011Nice light roast, smooth, but fairly one-dimensional. Nothing unpleasant in the cup, but also nothing that would make it stand out. Very forgiving, so probably not a bad backup to have around, when you do not feel like messing with a Prima-Ballerina SO.
