Wakeknot | Wakeknot | Wed, 10/26/2011Since this coffee is not fresh preground means you need to drink it the first day or two you open it. Segagredo is a good brand (akin to the more famous Illy) but their whole bean is better.

DARK AND RICH (on Segafredo Espresso C...)

I get a better sense of the true flavor that way and I like the dark edge. This coffee is everything I want. Dark and rich with a smooth and abundant crema. I went through it so fast, I ordered another pound right away because I couldn't wait for the scheduled subscription delivery. Delicious stuff.

Nathanael Robbins | Nathanael Robbins | Sat, 06/26/2010We purchased the very first bag of Segafredo Massimo when we were in Milan, Italy. Fantastic beans, great coffee in any process we have made it. So when I found it on ROASTe I was excited. So I ordered it. There were a few issues with the order, EnjoyBetterCoffee was slow in shipping. When I got my order the first thing I tried were the ESE Pods I ordered they were fabulous. So I cracked open the coffee. Made a pot, was horrible, tasted stale and dull. So then I whipped out the beans left over from Italy and did a comparison. Something was up. Maybe they were stored wrong, or just was a bad batch. At any rate after trying to get them replaced from the company and not getting anywhere I figured I would post this review. While I am sure overall they provide good service to their customers. My experience was less then pleasant and I will look to make sure this is not a company I order from in the future. EnjoyBetterCoff needs a lesson in customer service. ***UPDATE*** 6/26/2010 I want to thank Scott and everyone at ROASTe for talking to the importer and getting a new bag of coffee shipped. It arrived yesterday and I could not wait to open the bag. This time the beans smelled fresh. So I popped some in the burr grinder and made a pot of coffee. Heaven in a cup. Smooth and rich coffee. Took us back to Milan. So huge KUDOS to the ROASTe team for making this right. 5 stars for the coffee !
