tmccartn | tmccartn | Tue, 07/06/2010A great dark roast that allows the coffee to shine through any milk based coffee. I tend to like a darker roast for this specific reason; while the chocolate undertones are not as strong as other beans I am starting to prefer this over Lavazza Dek (a much lighter roast). This one is probably my new favorite bean, just ranking below Dean and Deluca's espresso decaf roast.

butylparaben | butylparaben | Mon, 07/05/2010Ground right, Kimbo Crema gives that subtly sweet note that too many overroasted blends scorch away. The taste lingers satisfyingly, never bitter, long after the last scrapings of crema from the cup. As close to Neapolitan espresso as I've been able to find for home espresso.

weierlu | Wed, 04/28/2010The ground is not fine enough so the espresso made out of it doesn't have satisfactory crema, and the taste is mediocre at best (better than Lazzava though). I have been searching for a cheaper version of Illy but have so far failed after a year's effort. Illy's fine ground dark roast is the only one passing my criteria for both taste and crema, but seeing its pricing doubled over the past couple years reminds me of the housing bubble :-(

shanas.place | shanas.place | Wed, 04/14/2010i always line my suitcases in italy with Kimbo coffee. This is one of the strongest italian coffee and the favorite of the south. I love this coffee. It is not a strong "bitter" coffee, but strong none the less.
