GOOD FILTERS, MUST HAVE FOR HARIO 2... (on Hario Paper Filter W...)
Son Ton | Mon, 06/25/2012This is a really good filter and from inspection are made of high quality paper material. They fits Hario 2 cup V60 perfectly and must have if you own the V60s. They are a little bit expensive though. I do not see the #1 filter available on here?
THESE FILTERS HAVE LITTLE (on Hario Paper Filter W...)
fincawhd | Thu, 06/21/2012These filters have little dust, and are thin, letting in more oil than many other filter brands. You can also fold a flat-bottom for use in the Hario v60 btw
MAKES THE BEST ICED COFFEE EVER (on Hario V60 Ice-coffee...)
jdindc | Sun, 06/17/2012I hesitated before buying the Fretta, thinking that it was a bit expensive for a plastic pour over cone (I already own a V60), a glass beaker, and an ice funnel. And, to be honest, that's really all you get. But the thing is: it works perfectly. The design is great for getting a slow drip of hot coffee directly over ice. In the past, I tried using a V60 to pour coffee over a cup of ice. But that didn't work as well. I think the key to the Fretta is that it allows each drop of coffee to come into immediate contact with ice. That produces the best, brightest cup of iced coffee. One final note: I used to be a cold brew advocate. But after trying the flash brewed method, I'll never go back.
WORK AS ADVERTIZED (on Hario Paper Filter W...)
jdindc | Sun, 06/17/2012These filters work perfectly with the Hario V60 pour over and also the Fretta Iced Coffee maker. They're a little expensive, but I haven't found any other filter that works as well with the V60. So they're worth the money -- especially when they're on sale.
GREAT PRODUCT! (on Hario V60 Coffee Pap...)
Son Ton | Sun, 06/10/2012These filters are designed to work exactly with their Hario V60. It is a great quality filter but at a premium price for sure.
GREAT PRODUCT! (on Hario V60 Paper Filt...)
Son Ton | Sun, 06/10/2012This is a really excellent product from hario that is meant to be used with their V60 brewers. Very good price too if you bundle with other stuff for free shiping.
FUNCTIONAL AND LOOKS NICE TOO! (on Hario V60 Ice-coffee...)
Son Ton | Sat, 05/26/2012I love coffee stuffs from Hario. This particular Hario product is really great for making iced coffee. As a bonus, you can use the V60 cone to make regular drip coffee as well if you wish. The serving vessel looks nice to boot!
EXCELLENT GRINDER! (on Hario Skerton Cerami...)
Son Ton | Sat, 05/26/2012This is an excellent hand grinder. The grind out of it is really good as is and great for travelling. If you are serious however, then there are well documented modification you can do to dramatically improve the grind quality.
CAN MAKE A GREAT CUP OF (on Hario Drip Pot 480ml...)
fincawhd | Wed, 05/23/2012Can make a great cup of coffee...nowadays I prefer making a French Press, and then straining it through the Hario cloth to make it extra clean.
I LIKE THAT IT CAN GO ON GAS (on Hario Buono V60 Drip...)
fincawhd | Wed, 05/23/2012I like that it can go on gas and electric and induction. It pours a little more nicely than the Bonavita in my opinion, not a major difference. Bonavita definitely the better value.
EXCELLENT KETTLE! (on Hario Buono V60 Drip...)
Son Ton | Mon, 05/21/2012This is a very stylish kettle. If you are into manual dripper such as the Hario V60, this kettle is a must. Its special neck design ensure that the flow of water is precise and gentle so that you can manipulate the flow of your coffee. This should last a long time as well. However, it is a little pricey!
EXCELLENT PRODUCT! (on Hario Coffee Dripper...)
Son Ton | Mon, 05/21/2012I have the same dripper but in made from plastic instead of ceramic. It is an excellent product and produce excellent coffee. Make sure to also buy the Hario branded filter to go along with this. If you forget, you can use a Melita style cone filer but it does not work as well as the Hario one.
POSSIBLE TO GET GOOD CUPS, (on Hario Coffee Dripper...)
fincawhd | Sun, 05/20/2012Possible to get good cups, but I get better cups more easily with other drippers (ones with smaller drainage holes)
NICE, BUT... (on Hario Drip Pot 480ml...)
jbviau | Thu, 05/10/2012Filters like this may have a low spouse-approval rating--in my house, at least. Think ahead re: the care you need to give them before pulling the trigger.
FINE... (on Hario V60 Coffee Pap...)
jbviau | Thu, 05/10/2012...but I prefer the whites, which are also available at Williams-Sonoma (at least where I live) if you need them right away.
A LITTLE MORE INFO. (on Hario One Cup Cafeor...)
jbviau | Thu, 05/10/2012Since the previous reviewer didn't post them (too modest?), here are his more detailed impressions of this nice little dripper: http://www.roaste.com/CoffeeBlogs/samuellaw178/Hario-Cafeor-Review-single-server-pourover http://www.roaste.com/CoffeeBlogs/samuellaw178/Shake-it-shake-it-New-brewing-method-French-Shake
PERFECT FOR ONE (on Hario Coffee Dripper...)
intrepid510 | Thu, 05/10/2012This little dripper is great to be used for making that one cup of coffee for yourself in the morning. You will need a pouring kettle and thus the four stars to get the most out of it. However, with the kettle it really produces a cup that has very clear flavor separation and will probably become your favorite brewing method.
GREAT DRIPPER! (on Hario Buono V60 Drip...)
intrepid510 | Thu, 05/10/2012These are the gold standard among coffee pouring kettles, makes it easy to use a pour over method to get your daily fix. They are well made and easy to use. They are in the middle range of price and good all around pick, cannot go wrong.
HARIO SKERTON (on Hario Skerton Cerami...)
dpablo19 | Sun, 04/22/2012I recently had to use one of these when my electric grinder failed. I was suprised by the grind quality for espresso... Although I found the taste to be slightly too bright, I still came away impressed with the results in my cup. The only real issue I had with this grinder was keeping it still while I cranked the lever. Still, for the price, it can't be beat.
SUPER NICE! (on Hario One Cup Cafeor...)
samuellaw178 | Sat, 04/14/2012THis is a very portable pourover maker. Light and compact. THe glass seems to be of high quality. The cup I made from this Hario Cafeor seems to be stronger and has more edges to the cup. I would definitely buy one again. I just wish the price is a little cheaper, maybe about $20 range.
