The year 2008 marks Frieling USA’s 20th anniversary . Founded in New York by Monika & Bernard Schnacke to market Frieling’s German-made products, they relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1990. To become an even more comprehensive supplier, Frieling since entered into a strategic alliance with many well know international partners such as Emsa, Cilio, Durgol, Swissgold, Victorian Baking Ovens, and Sitram.

There is no glass carafe to break The double-wall steel design keeps a more stable brewing temperature than glass designs. It's more expensive than other french presses, but if you never have to replace it, isn't it worth it? rock on

hoonchul | Fri, 03/09/2012This is probably one of the best french press you can buy. Every part is made of steel and will last you a life time. You can buy replacement screen online for few dollars. Its double walled so it will hold heat relatively well.

missmandyrichards22 | Thu, 03/01/2012its surely a sturdier french press than most ones available, which i love. the look is clean and modern. keeps beverages warm much longer. the only issue i have is if me or my husband accidentaly overfill slightly there is a greater risk of grind in the drink. yuck! typically there is a grind strainer at the spout, this one does not have one. its mainly about being careful. still love it more than any other french press i've owned previously.

EricBNC | Sun, 01/08/2012This Frieling French Press with the Mirror Finish holding 33 - 42 fl. oz. is a seriously well built stainless steel press - it does a great job of retaining water temps through the several minutes of steep time (thanks to the double wall construction) but pre warming the press with boiling water first will give best results from this large brewer - makes 5 American style cups of coffee. Be aware the mirror finish will show fingerprints easily.

Be aware that mirror finish is another name for fingerprint magnet so some polishing should be expected to keep it looking like new. The 8 - 11 fl. oz. size is perfect for one fresh and hot (thanks to the double wall construction) cup of French press brewed coffee.
