Dallmayr
Dallmayr, a Munich-based coffee producer, boasts a history that can be traced back three centuries; its quality coffee products have always been a staple beverage for Munich citizens. The beans are carefully selected from the world's prime coffee-producing areas and then roasted at Dallmayr’s facility in Giesing. Noteworthy varieties include the Sigri Estate Arabica roast from Papua New Guinea and San Sebastian from the Guatemala highlands.
Today, the company has grown to become an internationally well-known manufacturer of quality coffee. Since 1930 Dallmayr has owned and operated a cafe, housed in an historic building in Munich, where freshly roasted coffee can be enjoyed with salads and small appetizers or chocolate truffles and other pastries.

xprzzo | xprzzo | Thu, 03/18/2010Caution - this rating is NOT based on the actual product bough from Roaste. Dallmayr in Munich is a must whenever I am in Germany. Freshly roasted, this is the best drip coffee I have ever had. Smooth, not a hint over bitterness and well rounded. Hard to say how it is affected after being shipped half way around the world - their vacuum packaging is very tight, so it might just work.
