"Round, fruit-forward aroma, with suggestions of berries, desert wine and flowers. Crisp in the small cup, showing intense flavors of apricot, peaches and citrus. The fruity flavors merge and linger in the long, tartly-sweet finish. In two parts milk the complex layers of fruit persist, more nuanced but sweet and distinct. "

REVIEWS & COMMENTS

  • THIS HAS BEEN A GREAT

    intrepid510 | Wed, 01/04/2012 - 00:59

This has been a great espresso, bright front with a sweet caramel finish that does really well as an espresso and in smaller espresso based milk drinks, giving it a bit of a buttery texture and finish. My only complaint is that I have not really liked it as drip coffee.

I was very impressed with the shipping of Paradise Roasters, both orders around the holidays and made it to me in three days from MN to CA and then the nice gold clip with the bags that make it easy to keep shut.

  • SOLID PERFORMER

smooth flavor with a bit of fruit. I find it a bit soft to cut through milk, but it won't let you down.

  • ESPRESSO CLASSICO

    pgreene | Sat, 08/06/2011 - 21:31

My favorite of the 3 Paradise espresso blends I tried., a lot of fruit, a lighter roast than Nuevo or Havana. I froze this two days post-roast so my first shots where much "fresher" than what I'm used to and they reminded me of some Black Cat I had recently, a strong "effervescent' orange flavor, after another day or two it settled down to mixed berry, delicious. Finally, at the end of my first 6 ounces, I tried a shot at 18g, rather than the 20g I'd been using. It's hard for me to judge as (to me) it seems that rest effects beans more than anything, but 18g will be my starting point when I pull the 2nd half out of the freezer.

  • PERFECT FOR A MILD CAPPUCCINO

    Brian Clive | Sat, 08/01/2009 - 05:20

Trying it both as espresso and cappuccino, I find the espresso to be on the sour side, high acidity. When having it as a cappuccino, the milk make it a very good, mild cappuccino.
I prefer my cup with more "punch", which is not reflected in this medium roast coffee.

  • GOOD CREMA, HIGH ACIDITY, EARTHY NOTES

    Harve | Fri, 07/31/2009 - 04:33

I was hit with a strong earthy aroma when opening this package. I drank it as a straight espresso with a touch of sugar.
The espresso presented a nice brownish crema, a medium body, earthy and even spicy notes, and as can be expected from a medium roast, the acidity was on the higher side. Personally I am more a balanced full-body cup drinker. But this one is great for those looking for a more exotic espresso. A great tasting experience!
