UNPLEASANT TASTE AND FRAGRANCE

My husband and I have very different pallets, but neither one of us good give it a higher rating. It must have been this shipment because the rest of the reviews are so positive.

This is a very good coffee, with a buttery, mellow flavor, though (as I found with another of Latitude's flavored offering) could stand to have a little more flavoring. I understand not wanting to overpower the subtle notes of the coffee itself, but I still felt there was some room there. All in all a very good coffee that I recommend.

isacoconut | Tue, 06/28/2011 - 08:28LOVE this coffee! My first ROASTe purchase consisted of four bags of Latitude's coffees, and this one is tied with Jamaican Me Crazy for my favorite. You know how in some nut-flavored coffees (hazelnut seems to be the worst culprit!), all you taste is an artificial flavor? Not with this one. It has a very subtle macadamia flavor which gives it just the right amount of nuttiness to balance out the acidity of the coffee while not being overwhelming. It's excellent as iced coffee, hot and sweetened or unsweetened, for breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up or dessert. This is just a great all-around coffee.

Never has it had a strong after taste it really is one of the smoothest coffees we have had. We look forward to trying more and appreciate the really full bags of coffee, I mean stuffed full! I would guess they even put more in there then the label says!

cafeole | Fri, 02/19/2010 - 00:05Hi. Let me start off this review by saying that I cold-brewed it, so I am not sure how that contributes to the flavor. It does reduce acidity by about 65%, so it probably has some effect on taste. Overall, I thought the macadamia nut flavor was dead on. Strong enough to taste and differentiate from the coffee, but by no means overwhelming - really well done. The coffee base was decent/above average. I ordered in early February and my bag was dated the end of December. Great as an iced coffee because it is naturally a bit sweet. Don't get me wrong - I never take sugar in my coffee, but this is sweet in a good macadamia nut type of way. Note - don't make the mistake I did. This is not Kona coffee, it's 'kona macadamia' flavored normal coffee (or that's what it tastes like anyway).
