Organic Ethiopian Sidama Coffee is produced by the Shilcho Cooperative. Sweet layers intertwine with candied fruit flavors leading to a complex, resonating finish. Notes of red plum, berry & spice sing throughout.

The Shilcho Cooperative Union’s 2000 members are part of the larger Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union. SCFCU’s 82,000 members support 45 cooperatives. Both SCFCU and Shilcho are regarded as very successful well-run organizations.

Shilcho fair trade premiums from the past year have been invested in:

-improvements to the coffee mill;
-construction of three primary schools;
-bringing electricity to member homes; and
-cereal mills, which are used to process grains grown by members.
