Ethiopia is a country rich in coffee history and traditions. Coffee ceremonies take place three times a day and are almost obligatory in the presence of a visitor, regardless of the time of day. The ceremony is quite involved requiring the green coffee to be roasted over coals, ground using a mortar and pestle, and brewed numerous times.

Yirgacheffe beans are one of the most prized coffees out of East Africa. They are hand picked and wet processed leaving the coffee with a unique character. The lot we have selected has distinct milk chocolate mocha notes, really a treat for the senses.

We are happy to be able to bring these coffee beans to you as a Swiss Water Processed Decaffeinated Coffee. The green coffee undergoes the Swiss Water Process to maintain the integrity of the coffee bean and bring all the fantastic flavors of this Ethiopian coffee to your cup in a decaffeinated form.
