WORTH THE WAIT
Liz | Tue, 12/20/2011 - 17:53My first cup of Higher Ground's Papua New Guinea Dark Coffee disappointed me. It looked dark and had a nice aroma but the taste was light, and I thought at first, something like stale. I've run into that before, and, while I don't actually know if it's stale, that's the only word I can think of to describe the taste.
But subsequent cups proved me wrong. I really enjoyed this coffee. Even if it did take 2 weeks to arrive. ; )
I'm on safari for a really flavorful, aromatic dark coffee. This still isn't it. But very nice and worth waiting for. Time to start searching Roaste.com's select coffee offerings again.

gadamhsr | Wed, 09/14/2011 - 09:23A nice cup of coffee at a nice price. When brewed using our camp percolator, we get the best results with a medium fine grind and a longer than usual perc. This combo yields a good deal of sediment in the pot and a beautiful aroma in the cup. On the palette; a bit of cocoa up front, mild acid in the middle, transitioning to a silky rich, long finish.

Jennsplinter | Mon, 06/20/2011 - 22:31I have tried this coffee twice now in my Techivorm Moccamaster and also in my Chemex. All three times I received the same result, bitter dense coffee with no undertones or notes to even carry me through my cup. I don't know if I received a burnt batch but yuck!
