Higher Ground's Espresso Blend is comprised of beans from every geographical growing region. A perfectly well-balanced blend, the sweet and bold coffee ends with a smoky finish. A very agreeable espresso, it lends itself to steamed milk, but is, of course, unrivaled on its own.
Higher Ground prides itself on its coffees that are all organic, Fair Trade, and shade-grown. Allowing the growers to keep their family farms, the Fair Trade certification ensures that these farmers benefit from economic and educational programs, while giving them the chance to grow a high-quality organic bean. The coffee plants grow in the forest canopy's shade—guaranteeing the continued survival of the forests and natural habitat for countless plant and animal species.

ESPRESSO BLEND
hoonchul | Thu, 03/01/2012 - 14:36Just as stated in the description its well balanced coffee, maybe too balanced. It didn't stand out in any way and made it little boring. The beans are oily but its dark roast so you have to expect that.
COMPLEX AND SMOOTH FLAVOR.
greens456 | Mon, 08/01/2011 - 11:56Complex and smooth flavor.
ESPRESSO
bethrichardso | Sun, 07/17/2011 - 19:21Rich bold and complex with no hint whatever of being burned
A LITTLE OILY
jleegaudes | Tue, 05/24/2011 - 03:03I ordered these beans, because I wanted to try something different. While the favor is rich, the beans are too oily for my espresso maker, which requires me to dry them out for days.
OVER COOKED!!!
duke-one | Sun, 02/27/2011 - 17:29In my opinion these beans are way overroasted. They have that shiney oil on the surface look, smell and taste. This may be in accord with others taste in Espresso beans but I'll pass on this blend from now on.

HIGHER GROUND ESPRESSO BLEND
Milganite | Mon, 08/09/2010 - 07:55What an absolutely fantastic aroma this coffee has! My mouth was watering before I even made it! My first sip was not disappointing. This Espresso is the way a good Espresso should be. Strong, but smooth. I will add this to my list of coffees to continue to purchase!
