IT WORKS OK
EricBNC | Mon, 10/31/2011 - 19:18There are better systems on the market since this one came out a long time ago, but lots of people still like it.
SOME STYLES OF KEURIGS NEED AN ADDITIONAL PART
divineangel8 | Mon, 10/10/2011 - 13:42When I first purchased this reusable basket, I thought it was a waste of money! Like some other reviewers, the coffee came out weak and the water spilled all over the place. Then I realized that the way my particular Keurig (Elite) was designed, the reusable cups weren't creating the same seal that k-cups did...hence the water all over the place and subsequently weak coffee. The fix was simple! I went to the local hardware store and purchased a 3/4" rubber washer to place in the indented space on the top of the cup and tried again (I was determined to make this thing work!) Voila! Now, I can make a great tasting cup of coffee from my own beans and save money on those expensive k-cups!

THIS FILTER REALLY CUTS DOWN
jtcarneal | Wed, 06/29/2011 - 06:22this filter really cuts down on the cost of coffee by not having to use the k-cups. the basket can get a build up on it which can cause the pot to shortcup or take along time to brew. then the filter will need to be replaced or cleaned really well.
LOVE THIS BASKET
GreenMamasPad | Wed, 05/25/2011 - 09:36We love our Keurig however we don't like using the wasteful pods. This reusable filter basket gives us the freedom to use any ground coffee that we like and with no plastic waste going in the trash. I like to drink decaf organic coffee but there are limited k-cup choices for that and now I am not restricted to those. Clean up is super easy. We just dump out the grounds then place in the dishwasher.
MEH
spoodles | Wed, 05/25/2011 - 09:30I thought the My K-Cup sounded like a great way to save money on coffee. Unfortunately, while I'm saving money, I'm not getting very good coffee out of it. Coffee comes out weak even for a small cup and a full filter basket, and you can forget a large cup of coffee. It's more like lightly coffee-scented water.
After tinkering with the amount of grounds in each cup, I've finally been able to get an almost coffee-flavored cup out of it. I've ordered an alternative reusable filter, and hope it works better. If not, back to the ex$pensive k-cups for me!
SKIP IT
jbviau | Mon, 05/16/2011 - 16:09Do yourself a favor and try a Solofill instead if you really must brew your own coffee using the Keurig. The My K-cup never worked well for me. That said, these replacement baskets do come in handy. I managed to lose one back in the day (probably tossed it into the trash by mistake).
REFUSABLE REUSEABLE
Reed | Tue, 04/26/2011 - 14:37If I were able to send this hit and miss gadget back and get a refund I would. No matter how I packed it or varied the grind it never gave me consistent results unless I considered consistently weak coffee a plus. I don't. Some other reviews were positive. I stand by mine nonetheless.
MY K-CUP ... CONVIENIECE AND FRESHNESS
Tom | Thu, 06/24/2010 - 11:46Using the My K-Cup is the only way to get really fresh coffee with a Keurig. We all know freshly ground coffee is under attack the minute it's ground. With this filter basket you can grind your own favorite bean and have the speed and convenience of the Keurig machine. I'd suggest also buying additional filter baskets to go into the My K-Cup. I have 3 since I sometimes brew 2 or 3 smalls into a large mug for a single serving. This lets not not deal with hot grounds until they have cooled.
MY K-CUP COULD BE YOUR K-CUP...
mmmmna | Sat, 02/20/2010 - 21:41I've been using this device in my Keurig model B-40, have made about 30 cups from grounds. Purchased both from WalMart.
The 'My K-Cup' works ok for me, but seems to allow a bit of hot water to bypass the grounds; I often get 2-3 streams of fluid, one is brown and 1 or 2 clear streams. It has acted this way since the first time I used it. Only a few times have I seen only the proper brown stream and even then, the machines chamber has clear water droplets. I've been meticulous to keep the grounds away from the mating surfaces inside the 'My K-Cup', so I really think my part is defective by way of failed tolerance.
Now, I am still able to give 3 beans for one simple reason: The brew is still very good, despite the visibly obvious bypass. A great idea, but needs manufacturing engineering attention.
