A fine ground that provides the best extraction when used with espresso machines, the illy fine espresso grind is a wonderful dark roast coffee. Presenting a flavorful smoothness and balance, the dark roast creates a stronger, more robust flavor.
Dark Roast: for the full body and deep, rich flavor of a more intense espresso, where notes of cocoa intertwine with hints of caramel.

MY GO-TO COFFEE
alison.kilmer | Tue, 11/22/2011 - 11:11Easily my favorite coffee by far. Smooth without a trace of bitterness - and it works wonderfully with our Chemex.
FINE COFFEE
Wakeknot | Sun, 10/23/2011 - 21:25Because it is preground and not fresh roasted it is not great coffee, but it is not bad when you first open it.
ILLY ESPRESSO

ILLY ESPRESSO GRIND DARK ROAST
bindell | Tue, 10/04/2011 - 18:56illy is the most flavorful dark roast coffee I've ever had. Normally I would grind my own beans, but the coffee is so fresh, that it really does not seem to matter. A can, on average, lasts about a week. It is a strong coffee (not to be confused with "bitter"). I highly recommend the illy Dark Roast if you like strong flavorful coffee.
ILLY DARK
trace | Wed, 09/28/2011 - 16:09this coffee is AMAZING in my new moka pot. i can drink it black if i'm in a "dark" mood, or combine it with frothed milk and sugar for a perfect cuban coffee. delicious, smooth, not even a hint of the bitterness i've come to expect in most dark roasts. illy is spoiling me.
FAVE
espressom | Sun, 05/22/2011 - 15:16This can be pricey. Usually on sale at retail grocery stores for about $15. Anyway it's by far my favorite espresso. I use this with my stovetop Moka in the mornings. It can last me a week. I love that they use this aluminum container. Wish Starbucks would package their bagged coffees with this container so no coffee granule slips out of the bag.
