  • GREAT FOR A START

I used one of these for a long time to help me 'calibrate' my hands so I knew what the frothing pitcher felt like at different times. I no longer use the thermometer, but it was invaluable in helping me learn to steam milk properly.

  • 5" STEM

Make sure that your pitcher fit these before getting it. 5" stem is kinda long for most 12oz pitcher. Temperature monitoring is very useful when frothing to make sure you don't end up with scalded milk.

how to froth when you can not accurately measure milk temp? I consider this a must have for making good frothed milk for espresso. Buy it.

A solid choice. I don't find these absolutely necessary, but they certainly help until you get a feel for steaming.
