Bialetti Moka Express Stovetop Coffee Maker 6-Cup is a type of stovetop espresso coffee maker first patented by the Italian Alfonso Bialetti in 1933. His company Bialetti continues to produce the same model known as the "Moka Express". Most commonly used in Europe, the moka pot has become known as an iconic design, displayed in modern industrial art museums, such as the Science Museum in London.
Mokas come in different sizes from 1-cup to 12-cups. It’s important to remember that to Europeans, an espresso “cup” is a 2-oz. measure. A 12 cup capacity is really only equivalent to three 8 oz. cups. ROASTe recommends that its customers purchase at least 1 size larger Bialetti than they think they need; our customers have been happiest with the larger Bialettis to compensate for the small European-sized cup measurements.
Bialetti Moka Express Stovetop Coffee Maker 6-Cup features:
• Stovetop brewer makes six 2-ounce cups of moka coffee in just 4 to 5 minutes.
• Made of durable polished aluminum in a now-famous octagon shape.
• Flip-up top and side-pour spout provide added convenience.
• Wash by hand with warm soapy water and rinse clean.
• Made in Italy.

MEDIUM MOKA
EricBNC | Fri, 12/23/2011 - 22:11this is a medium size for one of these moka pots - aluminum means great heat transfer too for fast brewing - I am a big fan of the Bialetti brand.
MOKA EXPRESS
sorcerero69 | Sun, 12/11/2011 - 08:53Makes a good cup of espresso like coffee, just remember to use low heat while brewing.
IT'S OKAY
coffeee | Thu, 11/17/2011 - 18:09I gave this a 3 because of the customer service. It really deserves a 2 or 1. I haven't really tasted or got anything special.
It tastes metallic and burnt. We'll see if it gets better with time!I
I'M A FAN
amandy | Wed, 11/09/2011 - 08:44I'd been eyeing these for a while as a stovetop alternative to an espresso machine. I've gone through a couple of low-end steam pressure espresso machines, which produce good-enough espresso for me at home, but never paid for themselves as I don't drink espresso every day and they never lasted more than a year.
This is something that I can tell will definitely last longer than an electric - but it takes some figuring out to get a perfect cup, and I'm not there yet. I can say that every cup I've made has been very good - but only a couple of times has it come out with the crema and the strength that I was looking for. Obviously, it's not going to get the pressure of a good bar pump espresso machine, but I'd say it's definitely comparable to the steam machines that I have used.
I feel like it won't be too long before I figure out the best way to brew in this thing - and already I can tell that for the price and for the expected lifetime, it was a good investment.
THE STANDARD IN MOKA POTS
Wakeknot | Sun, 10/30/2011 - 14:12this is a good brand. They will never produce coffee like an espresso machine, but for the price they are hard to beat.
PERFECT
lizzypooh1012 | Tue, 09/13/2011 - 14:28this is perfect for that individual cup of espresso with dessert or to make for iced coffee.
MOKA EXPRESS
dpablo19 | Mon, 09/05/2011 - 19:19This makes for some strong coffee. I would not suggest using too much coffee, or you'll end up making "cowboy coffee," sludge as it's better known. Mine has survived for almost a decade without any real dings, so these Bialettis are pretty durable. I believe they're pretty easy to operate, too. Insert water in the chamber, add coffee, and press down when the time is right.
BIALETTE MOKA COFFEE MAKER
infojules | Thu, 06/30/2011 - 17:58I love the Moka coffee makers. I don't use it all the time- but when I do it makes delicious tasting coffee. It might take a couple tries to get the grind just right, but it's worth it!
HAND DELIVERED
yellowsponge01 | Tue, 04/26/2011 - 11:40A friend of mine from Italy brought this as a gift and I love it. I have a single cup that was pretty worn out. I wasn't sure it would work on the flat-top stove I have, it's pretty picky but it worked perfectly. Now it's a toss up to make espresso or use french press. Love it!

nannysaw1 | Fri, 10/01/2010 - 19:51Great little gadget. Love making cup of expresso for my husband and myself before we go hunting in the afternoons after working all day.
Reallly gives you a pick me up. Don't have to worry about falling asleep in deer stand late in the day after drinking one of those.
Really enjoying my Bialetti....Thanks.....Sandy W
