Yama Stylish Ceramic Base Siphon Vacuum Pot is a tabletop siphon that comes with a butane burner. You can brew coffee right at the table with this siphon, making it perfect for after-dinner coffee drinks.  It is also great for cooking and restaurant use!

Purchase butane at an Asian grocery store. A recommended brand is GasOne. It is not necessary to fill the burner entirely with butane, as it works best when slightly below the "full" level.

    This Yama reminded me, nostalgically, of my undergrad Chemistry courses, when I flirted with my assigned lab partner and got her to do most of the work--because I certainly couldn't as I was utterly lost in the courses. She eventually became my wife--and a pharmacist--so on our 20th Anniversary I gave this to her as one of her gifts, with the understanding that this time I'LL do most of the work. I also bought it because it's just plain cool. THIS is the chemistry (and physics) I can understand and appreciate. It makes a superb pot, very smooth, and any variety of coffee, tea, or herbals has been used not only with success, but with even better results than I get with my standard Bunn (not to diss that, though--it's great, a real workhorse). But this Yama is for special occasions; it always knocks out the guests, and in a dark-lit room, alone with my wife, it's also quite romantic. It IS a bit fragile, needs to be handled more gently, and its relative slowness is balanced by its fascinating operation. A life-long pleasure, like a good marriage: a keeper.

    this is a beautiful siphon that makes a very clean cup of coffee (and is very fun to watch brew). the three reviews before mine all said something about breakage however mine arrived very quickly and in perfect working order.

    this would receive 5cups as it works wonderfully. However, it arrived chipped. A replacement was sent but it was completely the wrong color. Roaste is working with me on a replacement.

    I live on the east coast and this item ships from the west coast. The long lead time led to much anticipation. When it arrived there was a broken part. I took a couple of pictures, attached them to an e-mail and had a response within an hour. When the replacement part arrived I was able to make the best cup of coffee that I have had in a long time. This is not the instant way to make coffee, but the wait and show are well worth it. I have use my new coffee maker at least once every day.

    I order my coffee siphon and it was shipped promptly. When I receive the product there was some damage from shipping. I took some pictures and sent an email off to ROASTe customer support to let them know.

    Without question, Scott promptly replied that he would have the replacement part sent out "shortly". The next day he replied again with my tracking number, and 3 days later I was making the best coffee I've ever had with my Yama Siphon Vacuum Pot.

    I would highly recommend ROASTe to any of my coffee geek friends and I can't wait to try out some of the exotic coffees they sell from dozens of award winning roasters.

    Thanks to Scott and the entire ROASTe team! You have have a new regular customer in me.
