They do let a little sediment into the brewed coffee, like a French Press does, but it does not significantly affect the flavor of the coffee. Only a Chemex filter truly filters out all sediment, in my opinion. Still, these are a very good quality filter at a good price. I recommend them for your coffee siphon.
