Presenting a medium body with creamy vanilla notes, The Indian Monsoon Malabar is made with beans that are exposed to the wind and humidity of the monsoon season.  The harvest is dried and then laid out in barns, a special aging process that creates an incredibly smooth, earthy, almost acidity-free coffee.

    i am a smoker,so my taste is not the same as a lot of peoples.buut i do know good coffee .this coffee does taste like some of the far east coffees,but it lacks the spicy zip.

    This was my first experience with a Monsoon Malabar and I enjoyed it's flavor profile. It was a nice mellow flavor that took well to the roast level Flat Black did with it. My coffee arrived quickly but I must say I was shocked to see it come in a non airtight bag (paper rolled and cinched) with no roast date on the bag. It had a nice bloom so I know it was quite fresh but I think they need to work on this bit of the presentation.

    I have liked this coffee quite a bit. Indian coffees, to me, are quite different in flavor than others. I sense a nuttiness to them. This offering from Flat Black was well roasted and appeared to be of high quality.

    My only concern with this coffee is that it arrived in an unsealed bag without a roast date. This is not really what I have experienced with other roasters, either bought from ROASTe, or directly from the roaster.

    This coffee was flavorful in a subtle way. Nice medium roast. Love that the beans are harvested before monsoon season.
