This Kontessa Oro Stovetop Coffee Maker 12-Cup Mokka pot is great for making strong, aromatic, and flavorful coffee - it requires a bit more attention than an auto drip but the results are worth the extra trouble - these larger ones need more coffee so the coarseness of the grind needs to be increased over the smaller models - the 12 cup size is a bit misleading if you think about cups as being 8 or 12 fl oz - this makes 2 fl oz cups (espresso size) times 12 - so only 24 fl oz at a time.
BIG MISTAKE
Jeannie | Wed, 03/16/2011 - 06:48Shipping was pretty fast, approx 7 days. Packaging was total crap. Outer box was crushed with little packing around the inner box, which was also crushed. The pot was loose inside the inner box and a different model from the photo. The coffeemaker was sealed shut, and I was unable to open it. Manufacturer website is down or does not exist. Ended up finding several complaints online about this company Vev Vigano. It doesn't seem to be in business anymore, even for replacement parts. Now I have to deal with the hassle of a return. I recommend not ordering from this distributor, in particular and possibly this Italian manufacturer. Do your research before spending your money on this number.

otisnono | Fri, 10/08/2010 - 13:39After years of struggling with cheap aluminum stovetop espresso pots, I found this beautifully engineered stainless steel work of art...No more sloppy stove, no more wasted coffee--the brass handle is built for a lifetime, the top and bottom screw together perfectly even after years of scrubbing, and, because it's stainless steel, it doesn't get that rank smell and taste of old coffee... Bravo! Worth every cent--and it comes in this marvelous 12-cup (18 ozs.!) generous size--enough for both of us to get coffeed off one pot... Best ever!
