Machines and non-perishable items only are returnable for a period of 30 days after you receive your merchandise; Spare parts, frothing pitchers, thermometers, coffee (opened or unopened), and cups cannot be returned. Please keep your receipt, original shipping container, original item merchandise box, packing materials, and all original documents in case you must return the item for any reason. Shipping is not refundable: the original shipping cost will be deducted from your refund (even if shipped with FREE SHIPPING).You will be responsible to return the item at your expense.
Please call our customer service number toll-free at 1-888-236-9980 - within 30 days of receiving your merchandise - if you would like to return it. Our Customer Service department will send you a form that must be read and replied to before we will issue a Return Authorization number (RMA#). GREAT STARTER MACHINE
Chamie | Sun, 01/08/2012 - 12:51We've been using the Espressione Squissita Plus for a little over a week now and it has totally transformed the coffee experience in our household. The machine is solidly built and easy to set up -- I had it working out of the box within ten minutes of its arrival. It comes with two filter baskets -- a single and a double -- and a plastic scoop/tamper combo that's sturdy enough to get a good tamp, though I'm always afraid I'll snap the handle in half while tamping. That and the fact that both baskets are pressurized to make "crema" are the two things that keep me from giving this a solid 5 stars as great starter machine. Also, it's almost impossible to get a good tamp with the single basket and the tamper for some reason. We've taken to using the double basket exclusively and drawing double shots.
That said, it's so easy to operate that even my teenage sons can pull a decent shot from it. The light indicator turns green when the water is in the right temperature range and red when it's too cool -- and it changes with an audible click so it's impossible to miss. The solid brass portafilter and boiler hold heat beautifully, and the cup warmer is a nice touch you don't usually find on a machine in this price range.
It takes about a minute to switch from brewing to frothing coffee -- and again, the indicator light makes it really easy to tell that it's ready to froth. I've had better results steaming milk when I remove the nozzle attachment and steam directly with the steam wand -- but your mileage may vary.
It's easy to fill and easy to keep clean, though I haven't tried descaling it yet. The only annoyance is that the steam wand drips unless you really tighten it down well. Other than those few things, the Squissita Plus works beautifully as an entry level home espresso machine, and I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to fuss with lots of adjustments to get a decent shot of espresso.

DOUBLE SHOT OF HEAVEN

I was dealing with it pretty well, but my college age son began to experience withdrawl symptoms at the very thought of doing without the elixir of life. So I went to work searching this web site for an espresso maker that would produce great coffee for less than an arm and a leg. I must admit I guessed at it, but I seemed to guess right. With it's 18 bars of pressure, I find it puts out a larger volume of drink in a given time. I've limited the brew time to compensate and the result is a smooth double shot of heaven. I have to be careful to not put too much coffee in the basket as it's difficult enough to to crank it into place. Everything about the design says solid and well made. I realize the price I paid merely represents an entry level machine, but I didn't have the extra 2-3K for a top of the line unit. Overall, I'm very happy with the Squissita Plus. I hope to use it for a long time.
