    Seems too darkly roasted for Northern Italian - tastes slightly burnt.

    My usual drink is a double machiato and occasionally straight espresso. I've used some of the darker roasts from Caffe D'Arte since I tend to favor a more robust espresso. Relative to their others this is a lighter roast. I'd call it on the dark side of medium in the grand scheme. I find Firenze a great happy medium between robust and mild, with great crema, a tiny bit choclately with milk. Overall a nice everyday espresso.

    This espresso was a very nice dark roast. Not too bitter and excellent crema.
