The coffee itself is great, it is very dark and the cocoa flavor is very prominent in these beans. The acidity is not overwhelming, an important factor for me because I have acid reflux. My sister, a coffee collector of sorts, has been drinking this constantly since I brought it home!

The bag is a nice and thick with a zip-lock seal and valve. The dry beans smell fresh with cocoa and roast nut while the brewed aroma is mild with hints of caramel and raisin. The first sip presents decent acidity providing a lively tingle along and a smooth and balanced finish. The mouth feel is medium and cradling. As it cools the profile remains consistent without any hint of bitterness. I had the opportunity to serve this coffee the same afternoon the mail delivered the delightfully aromatic package from Mahogany Roasters to three friends and the praise was unanimous.
