FT Rwanda Rushashi Coffee comes from a region long known for its deep berry and floral jasmine. Yet, this enticing cup exhibits Yirgacheffe floral notes and flashes of Kenya-like brightness. The fragrance includes soft floral and sweet citrus notes. This distinguished fair trade washed bean comes to life in its wet aromatics - a bouquet of flowers giving hints of stone-fruit raspberry and sugar plum with ruby red grapefruit acidity. The promise of the aromatics is delivered in the cup: citrus flowers, sweetness, vivid aftertaste, and a rather silky body. The sweetness can be described as a sweet brown caramelly malt flavor, lingering through the long aftertaste. FT Rwanda Rushashi is truly a balanced, silky, sweet cup.

REVIEWS & COMMENTS
THIS WAS AWESOME...
dubbie98 | Mon, 08/08/2011 - 16:24I just wish there were more; and so have wishlisted it...
My god, aromatics - "Does this thing go to 11.", Holy Cow, taste - "Like a straight shot of pure liquid goodness to the brain." And was such an evovler while sitting, so fruity, now I know what a "stonefruit" tastes like. Was like that...

broseph | Sat, 04/02/2011 - 12:04Two days after roast and the aromatics are excellent. Cherries, coconut water, and a lot of sugar. The taste is mainly grapefruit and dark sugar, hopefully it'll develop and become more interesting over the next few days.
Edit: Removed one star because it didn't age all that well, tasting like bad beer as time went on! Ecco's Rwanda is really fantastic, I'd recommend that instead. It'll be gone soon.
