Smoke Jumper Coffee delivers bold, rare and distinctively smoky flavor as Hunter Bay’s exclusive AGED coffee blend. Named to honor the elite parachuting firefighters pictured in the label, Smoke Jumper takes the best coffees from three continents and blends their flavor characteristics. Imagine the marriage of the wood, earth and smoke elements of a RARE East Indies AGED coffee; an East African’s ripe berry sweetness; and the spice and chocolate tastes of a quality Central American bean. Uniting these unique source coffees has created an exceptional blend expressing naturally sweet toffee flavors, smoked almonds and chocolate in a full-bodied brew that is unusually thick and smoky.
Smoke jumping plays a vital role in Western Montana’s local history. Indeed, the first fire jump in the history of smoke jumping was made in 1940 by a crew from the Nine Mile Base near Missoula. Today this city hosts the largest smoke jumper training base in the nation, a base which features the Smokejumper Visitor’s Center.

EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED
Chamie | Wed, 12/28/2011 - 01:15I tend to be very picky about my blends to the point of roasting and blending my own to taste. Smoke Jumper is an exception to my rule. It has all the spicy, earthy, smoky flavors I love in Pacific Rim coffees. It brews up nicely in just about any brew method you choose, but I really love it in a moka pot, which really seems to bring out the caramel-y undertones.
