intrepid510 | Sat, 01/07/2012 - 18:52This coffee maker has been getting a lot of buzz by the coffee geeks out there because it heats the water to correct temperature before ever starting the brew. This does mean that it takes a while to make that put of coffee, unlike other Bunn machines that keep the water heated at all times so they are able to brew at a moments notice this one waits until you are ready. What this means is you wait six minutes for it to heat the water to the correct temp before brewing and then four minutes for the brew. While the waiting is a draw back thus the four stars, it does mean that you are going to get more balanced cup with lower acidity then you might experience in that 15 dollar model from Wal-Mart, and it also means you save electricity compared to other Bunn brewers. This one also comes with the thermal carafe so you don't have to worry about burnt coffee.
