    Although I enjoyed this coffee I found it a bit stronger than the smooth blend of Douwe Egberts I recently enjoyed at a local restaurant. I know the restaurant uses a liquid version with their specialized Douwe Egberts coffee machine and that could have been the difference or this could be a different roast. Once I tried making it a bit weaker it was more enjoyable to me. I would definitely buy it again as it does have a nice flavor.

    I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste. I am partial to grinding my own beans, but I would be inclined to order this again and recommend it to others.

    I like the flavor. This is the same brand that my Contnuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) uses and that is why I buy it. We have the reputation of having the best coffee.

    I first enjoyed Dowe Egbert coffee at a fine hotel - the perfect mild breakfast coffee. Could not locate in any of my local stores, until I learned it is sold primarily in commercial markets. I was so happy to finally find it at Roaste.com, at a great price, and shipped to me really quickly. Great website. Can't wait to try some other products from Roaste.com.

    We received our shipment in a very timely manner. We started enjoying it right away. The coffee has a smooth and rich flavor. No bitterness what so ever. The only draw back, it is ground so fine it doesn't work in our Bunn coffee maker very good.

    To those people who gave the coffee 1 or 2 cup ratings who are looking to bring back the flavor of what they experienced in a hotel, motel, hospital, gas station or restaurant in North America, may be a bit confused. It is NOT the same. The stuff they sell in the gas station, etc., will be from a syrup form. Different coffee altogether. The coffee sold on ROASTe is the REAL stuff. It is imported from the Netherlands and not just labeled this brand to sell.

    This coffee freshly brewed (in a proper machine) is outstanding! One of the best coffee's I've had. Smooth, not too acidic or bitter and we like it strong! Like the Dutch! Being that my husband is Dutch and I lived there a while, may make my opinion a little biased.
    But if you have had Lavazza Rossa, (our households second option) it is comparable. Although DE has more flavor in my opinion.
    Taste for yourself!

    I first found Douwe Egberts when we lived overseas in Saudi Arabia and loved it. It's a robust but very smooth coffee. Couldn't find it in the US until now. I can finally have good coffee again!

    Hello......I was trying to duplicate the wonderful coffee I had at the Best Western Hotel by the Convention Center in Long Beach, CA. I knew it was Douwe Egberts.....but when I went to your website saw that there were many to choose from. So, I guessed wrong.

    Was looking for a richer blend and I di find that with the Excellent Aroma variety. This is a nice cup but I prefer something a little stronger. So if you looking for a medium roast this is a very nice blend.

    Douwe Egberts coffee is a very nice blend with just the right amount of "kick" and smoothness. I would recommend to those occasional coffee drinkers like myself.
