  • LOVE THE COFFEE BUT SHIPPING IS HORENDOUS

It took 2 weeks to get it. Nobody told me that it would take this long for the order to come through. finally, when it came, it came in a box. Klatch delivers in a large UPS envelope. Much better. that said the coffee is excelent.

  • BEST DECAF EVER

    samuellaw178 | Wed, 02/15/2012 - 08:31

I have not tried the caffeinated version of Black Tie, but this Black Tie decaf, is actually the best ever decaf I've ever tried. I like to pull it as espresso and it can easily be indistinguishable with a caffeinated coffee. Usually, decaf coffee has certain extent of off-taste when pulled as espresso, but it's totally non-existent with Black Tie D.
Also, in French Press, it's not disappointing at all. Recommended to try it if you haven't already!

  • ARE YOU SURE THIS IS DECAF?

    intrepid510 | Fri, 01/06/2012 - 15:18

I think the above question adequately describes this coffee. There is no question this is the best decaf I have had so far, does not have an off taste or lack of taste like so many other decafs I have tried. Nice chocolate taste in the front with a little acid bight in the end, very good! As always the shipping was super quick from Deep Cello and liked being able to read a few pages of the Willamette Weekly to boot!

  • NICE

I'll give this 5 cups *for a decaf* (grading on a bit of a curve). Still, I enjoyed the Clever cup I got from these beans just now, even after having frozen them 4 days post-roast 3 months ago and then defrosted them 2 days ago. Rich flavor with no hint of decaf-ness until the coffee had cooled substantially. Of course, I prefer the caffeinated version of Black Tie, but this is better than I'd expected.

  • CELLO ROASTERS BLACK TIE DECAF

    Lisa | Thu, 09/22/2011 - 12:46

Decaf? I usually say that with a very disparaging tone. As someone who is considering getting a tattoo of a caffeine molecule decaf is not high on my list of things to try. But I decide to be open minded and try it. It comes in an unassuming brown bag and smells good. That is a good sign. Now time for a taste test. After trying it I had to look at the bag to make sure it was decaf. This was delicious. Smooth, flavorful - very enjoyable. I would recommend it to anyone who is trying to cut down on their caffeine but do not want to cut down on taste. It would make a good gift too!

  • SMOOTH BUT NOT TOO SMOOTH

    broseph | Sun, 09/04/2011 - 16:10

Smooth but not too smooth decaf. Darker roast tames some of the decaf off-taste.

  • ENJOYABLE BLEND

I can't say that I tasted every single note listed here, but it did have a mysterious fruitiness and nice complexity.
