MY LATEST REVIEWS

  • GOOD BUT RAN A LITTLE SHORT OF THE HYPE

    rudesolo | Fri, 05/18/2012 - 13:12

I bought these beans based on the popularity of the product and it's reviews. I figured I better check it out and see what all the hype was about. It was a very good brew, I really couldn't complain about the coffee itself. I did have room to complain about it's price. I think the price reflects its popularity and maybe availability more than the actual quality and taste. Where as it was good, it is not in the top ten of my personal favorites, maybe top 20. I feel the same way about most Kona coffees. That being said, I liked the caramel undertones and mild acidity of this brew. I wouldn't complain at all and put it my weekly rotation if it was priced a little more humbly at like 10-12 per lb. escpecially after you factor in the shipping here at Roaste. Overall, good coffee/not the best, little overpriced.

  • MY FAVORITE

I have subscribed to this coffee on a monthly basis quite simply because so far in my experience it is my favorite. I have had one better Ethiopia Harrar from a different source, but that source in no longer and this particular bean is hard to find. I like the full body, utter smoothness, and low acidity of this coffee. THere are very subtle undertones of berry that come in different complexities depending on the roast and brew. Try it, you'll like it.
