  • OLD WWWORLD EXOTIC ESPRESSO ROBUSTA

    I've been trained to avoid robusta, but I had to check this blend out to see what the debate was really about. It is commonly said that robusta lends an old rubber taste to espresso. Well, I didn't taste the rubber in this blend, although there was a lingering after taste similar to licorice. In fact, it was very similar, when pulled exactly right, to Vivace's Dolce blend. I'd say that is comparison worthy of dispelling all the negative rumors about robusta. Great blend that I'd recommend to everyone.

  • KLATCH WORLD'S BEST ESPRESSO

    This coffee's flavors came in waves. It was very similar to the description... I got a bit of citrus at the beginning, then some berry-like fruit, and finally a very rounded out sweet chocolate note. This is some amazing espresso and I'm sure that it has the potential to be the world's best.

    These beans were not the 'dark' roast I had expected. There was no carbony taste to the espresso and yet it kept a lot of citrus and floral type notes. This blend far exceeded my expectations and I look forward to ordering it again.

    Perhaps one of the best blends to drink in a cappuccino. This espresso is sweet, and I mean that very literally. If you pull this shot correctly, you should be tasting coffee, chocolate, and caramel. That said, I wish it were a bit more complicated on the palette. For what it is, though, it may just be the best.

    The taste of this espresso is dominated by the Yirgacheffe and Gedeo in the batch, which means a lot of floral and berry notes. I thought it was very tasty, although I was unable to get a lot of crema in the cup. Without the mouth feel, it didn't quite feel like espresso. I'll have to give this blend another chance and see if I can coax a thicker shot out of it.
