FUN, BUT MISLEADING NAME
mattabraxas | Thu, 01/26/2012 - 12:50This roast is smooth. I wouldn't describe it as biting. The acidity is well balanced and not too bitter. Also great price.
A GOOD EXAMPLE OF TIMOR
mattabraxas | Mon, 11/28/2011 - 10:54This Timor has a the rounded flavor that a lot of Timor beans lack. It has the slight sweetness with the cocoa tone. I use a French Press and drink it black.
NOT JUST GOOD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
mattabraxas | Thu, 11/10/2011 - 10:07I'm sometimes skeptical of products that are built up mostly on their eco-friendliness and not as much on their actual quality. I would not have tried it if not for the great price, and I would have been missing out. It's a great roast.
STARTS WONDERFULLY
mattabraxas | Thu, 11/10/2011 - 10:02I loved this one at first: slight cocoa, very smooth. I brewed this in a French Press only. After a week on the shelf though, the acidity got stronger and it overpowered the nice subtle flavors. So, I'd say drink it within a week or you might see the same changes I did.
A GOOD COSTA RICAN
mattabraxas | Fri, 10/14/2011 - 14:30Costa Rican coffees usually please me and this one certainly maintains the Costa Rican reputation. It did seem a little over roasted though, favoring a slightly charred flavor which can be nice at times. I recommend it in a French press to better get into the oils of the bean.
