MY LATEST REVIEWS

  • VERY GOOD, NOT EXCEPTIONAL

Some time ago, Starbucks came out with an Ethiopian Sun-dried Sidamo. It was hands-down the best coffee I'd ever had. It was bold and smooth, and the finish was surprisingly robust of dark cherry. It was out of this world. But it was discontinued in only a few months! So, after I tore my garments and mourned for several months, I got to searching for anything comparable. Shortly after, I found this Ethiopian Harrar, and I thought it might be similar since it is also a dry-processed coffee (i.e. the beans are sun-dried in the fruit for several weeks before processing). Well, I must say that it was very good, however, this was only a Full City roast, so, as you could imagine, the flavors were not quite as bold as the Sidamo, which was surely a dark roast. I may try the Flatback Harrar next and see what that's like.
