Haven't tried this coffee, but I did enjoy the last Brazil I ordered (from Portola), Question: what filters are you using with the Clever? I've got Filtropa whites here.
Sure, I go out less frequently for coffee now. Some of this is merely a function of my wife having the car during the day though. What gets me out is (a) the opportunity to try coffees I don't have access to here and (b) the chance to have coffee brewed using methods I can't be bothered to master at home (e.g. siphon). I don't drink more coffee than before--maybe 2-3 cups a day. And I don't worry about cost, really; as indulgences/hobbies go, fresh coffee is still fairly cheap IMO. Hoffmann's blog post was good, but I think one could quibble with this line: "Perhaps this is why there is no effective coffee review with any impact on the market." Many sites certainly seem to *think* the score their coffees got on, say, Coffee Review matters to consumers!
I've tried weasel coffee as drip in the past but never as espresso. One thing: strictly speaking, the Kopi Luwak sold here isn't roasted to order. I'd suggest emailing the vendor before pulling the trigger to see how fresh their current batch is (something I did last year, which is how I know).
THANKS

jbviau | Sun, 06/24/2012 - 11:04Are you ordering directly from Velton's since his coffee isn't available here anymore? And what Trifecta settings are you using? Just curious.
OH, MAN
jbviau | Sun, 06/24/2012 - 11:00The first step is admitting you have a problem, right?! I don't want to hear any more complaints from you about how expensive Geishas are... ;)
