A TRULY GRAND ESPRESSO--CAFE' VIVACE VITA
griffinjim63 | Sun, 02/21/2010 - 00:11I've recently tried a number of espresso coffees for my new Rancilio Silvia espresso machine...It brings me great joy to know I'm having a glorious coffee drink that is as good if not better than a Starbucks or Caribu Cofeehouse... ...so here we go...I'm reading all this praise about this David Schomer guy from Cafe Vivace who is totally obsessed with coffee and has a number of books and DVD's about the great art of espresso... ...so I dive into his VITA blend roasted made daily at his Roateria in Seattle. It is truly decadent to see a gusher of crema dispensed from his special espresso...and I'm very, very impressed with the drinks I was able to make....Great tasty lattes and even a bold Americano had a zesty Northern Italian roast flavor. No need to look further....this stuff is top-notch...

griffinjim63 | Sat, 02/20/2010 - 23:55...very distinctive sweet/smokey flavor...first up, I tried it at an espresso grind for some lattes....a good mix with frothed milk and it delivered a very merry, delicious drink... ...next up....regular grind for drip coffee...wow, it was stronger than I had perceived...even though it says it is low in cafrfeine, it still delivers quite a bit of colorful flavor... ...I really think anyone who tries this...will find it to be worth the money and hey, it comes in a cool circular tin...that makes it very unique and special to have displayed alongside your coffee bar...
