I've tried the High Jump before as espresso and was very pleased, but this time I grounded it for my drip maker and wasn't disappointed tastes just as good, will recommend it to any of my friends
Received as a gift from Roaste, I've tried the Bossa as recommended by Deep Cello and love it very much, it produced a lot of crema and with a little sweetener it had dark chocolate, some hazel nut after taste. Will recommend it to anyone that enjoys a good cup of espresso.i
I added the Nostromo to my order of Black Tie, so I'm trying it first. It is certainly a dark roast and a little oily compared to their Black Tie but it isn't bitter and I can taste dark chocolate. Will have to try it as a cap. but so far I've had two straight double shots. Since of the holiday on Monday it took a little longer then the last time I ordered it, and to show the sign of the times the cost went up on the Black Tie by about a dollar and the size of the bag went down, from a 1 pound bag to 12 oz bag. The last time I ordered it which was in August it came in a 1 pound bag now it's 12 oz. For a double shot of espresso I grind enough beans for 15 grams and pull the shot for 25 second and get plenty of crema. One of the flavors that stands out to me is that of dark chocolate. My machine is a Gaggia Baby and my grinder is a Cimbali Junior set on #5.5.
I gave it a try from what I've read from some of the reviews and was glad I did, it's got a great flavor. The quick service of Deep Cello was outstanding, I ordered it on a Friday afternoon and received it the flowing Monday and ground some up that evening. It took only three days to go coast to coast Oregon to North Carolina. I usually get the same service from a local roaster here in Raleigh, NC. Counter Culture. Love the taste and will order again.
I've owned my Cuisinart coffee maker for 8 yrs and haven't had any problem with it and use it daily for morning / noon coffee. I don't use the timer setup since I make just enough for two cups in the morning and at noon. I clean it out every three months, it's a wonderful machine for the price. If I upgrade it will be to a Techinvor, but in the mean time and it's still running great I'll but using my Cuisinart. I've got a Cimbali Junior grinder which I use to grind my beans for this and my Gaggia Espresso machine.
