EXCELLENT AS A SHOT, NOT AS GOOD MIXED WITH MILK
cb_colo | Fri, 07/02/2010 - 01:32I typically drink espresso with milk in latte form and didn't care for this espresso when mixed with milk. HOWEVER, when I drank a plain shot (with a tiny bit of sugar) it was excellent!! I just may start drinking more espresso as a plain shot!

cb_colo | Sun, 06/13/2010 - 23:46We bought this coffee maker for 2 reasons: 1. Consumer Reports rated it very highly (and I generally trust their reviews) 2. It looks fantastic and matched the appliances in our new house, where the kitchen is visible from the family room. I have never gotten a good cup of coffee out of this thing - ever! We always use fresh filtered water. We bought an expensive burr grinder, and tried adjusting the grind, that didn't help. I've tried using different beans, that hasn't helped. But the funny thing is that our old, slightly ugly, Mr. Coffee machine made way better coffee than this ever did! I wonder if it has something to do with the cone shaped coffee holder? (our old one is the flat bottom kind) In any case, I would discourage anyone from spending $75-$100 on this machine when one that is only $25 will outperform it.
