    After trying 6 new types of coffee with my first Roaste order and choosing several that are "highly rated" by Coffee Review, I've come to realize that good tasting coffee is highly subjective and I don't always like these "highly rated" coffees. My biggest complaint with the Bonsai Blend is that there is an overwhelmingly hazelnut taste that lingers on the tongue for a long time. If this were a blind taste test, I would think that I were drinking a pure hazelnut coffee.

  • A REAL NICE CUP OF COFFEE

    I've been enjoying my first shipment of Twilight Blend for hte past two weeks and I get more impressed with this coffee each day. If you don't like dark roasted coffees, don't be afraid of the roaster's description; it is not over poweringly dark. It is a well balanced and smooth coffee with notes of dark chocolate. To me, it has a clean finish and makes a good morning coffee or afternoon pick me up.

  • GOOD FOR BOTH THE ESPRESSO MAKER AND THE ELECTRIC DRIP MAKER

    The Belle Espresso makes a real nice, balanced espresso with an excellent layer of crema. I find I use this coffee just as frequently in the electric drip maker and it is NOT overly strong/dark like some coffees marketed as "espresso coffee". Definately on the re-order list.

  • KLATCH MOCHA JAVA BLEND

    This was my first shipment of coffee from Klatch. My all time favorite coffee is Peet's Arabian Mocha Java so I was anxious to run Klatch's Mocha Java Blend through my electric drip coffee maker after a proper grind with the Rocky. I have to say that, for my taste, the floral notes were too much and the coffee was almost astringent and too winey. Since the coffee had been recently roasted, I hoped that the taste would improve as the coffee hit its peak age of approx 2 weeks from roasting-no such luck. On the positive side, shipment was FAST and all Klatch coffee arrived as ordered.
