    I bought this coffee with an open mind being that I had not had an Ethiopian coffee before and at first I really did not like it. I found this coffee to have a rather bitter finish that I could not get over. I had been using a metal filter that I am not used to and decided to try a paper filter to see if it would help with the flavor... HUGE DIFFERENCE! The coffee became much more balanced an enjoyable to drink. It still is not my favorite coffee for I did not really enjoy the strong fruity taste as much as I have with other coffees.

  • EXCELLENT COFFEE WITH GREAT BALLANCE

    I ordered this coffee with along with Klatch Ethiopian coffee and this was by far my favorite of the two (if not one of my all time favorites). This coffee had an excellent balance with absolutely no bitterness at the end. This coffee also has an inherent sweetness to it and I found that I used less sugar when drinking.

    I tried this coffee at a local restaurant and after asking the waiter about the coffee, he told me that the restaurant has Douwe Egberts' liquid coffee dispenser and was using the Excellent Aroma liquid coffee. I went online and discovered ROASTe had the ground version of this coffee. Knowing that there is a difference in the brewing style, I ordered it hoping is would be at least close to as good as the restaurant coffee... No need to worry, this coffee proved it is just as good in the ground version as it is in the liquid. If buying this coffee though, make sure to use paper filters, as it is ground quite fine and can clog the "gold-tone" metal filters.
