About me:I ride my motorcycle every chance I get. Unlike Uranium and Plutonium, coffee never reaches its' critical mass. Coffee that is "too strong" is a physical impossibility. What the hell is the point of decaf??

Vboostman | Sat, 12/10/2011 - 20:28When my old machine kicked the bucket, I needed to replace it quickly. I was dealing with it pretty well, but my college age son began to experience withdrawl symptoms at the very thought of doing without the elixir of life. So I went to work searching this web site for an espresso maker that would produce great coffee for less than an arm and a leg. I must admit I guessed at it, but I seemed to guess right. With it's 18 bars of pressure, I find it puts out a larger volume of drink in a given time. I've limited the brew time to compensate and the result is a smooth double shot of heaven. I have to be careful to not put too much coffee in the basket as it's difficult enough to to crank it into place. Everything about the design says solid and well made. I realize the price I paid merely represents an entry level machine, but I didn't have the extra 2-3K for a top of the line unit. Overall, I'm very happy with the Squissita Plus. I hope to use it for a long time.

Vboostman | Thu, 03/03/2011 - 17:40I feel that coffee can not be too dark or too strong. While I thoroughly enjoyed this coffee for its flavor and richness, it falls a bit short. That's just my opinion...everyone has them, just like armpits.
DARK AND RICH
Vboostman | Thu, 03/03/2011 - 17:32While I sometimes play around with additives, my preference is to drink espresso black. I get a better sense of the true flavor that way and I like the dark edge. This coffee is everything I want. Dark and rich with a smooth and abundant crema. I went through it so fast, I ordered another pound right away because I couldn't wait for the scheduled subscription delivery. Delicious stuff.

AHABS REVENGE
Vboostman | Thu, 01/20/2011 - 19:49Dark, rich, with a smooth crema. I was a little disappointed, I expected a much thicker crema but this is my 1st experience with Robusta blends. I guess I'm looking for a sort of "black tar" flavor. Any suggestions?
