Julie | Thu, 01/26/2012 - 01:07The Nostromo is one of the smoothest coffees I've ever tried, from start to finish. It wasn't acidic or bitter. I really enjoy dark roasts. I had difficulty picking out any distinct flavor notes on this one, though, but I just enjoyed the overall taste and how smooth it was! The beans themselves also have a wonderful aroma. When the package came, I could smell the beans even before opening the box. I loved that!

Julie | Fri, 01/14/2011 - 03:54I've started trying a few more medium roast coffees, and this is one of my favorites so far. The blend of beans is very well balanced. I love to drink this straight from a french press and also in a latte. You should give this one a try!
I DON'T NORMALLY DRINK
Julie | Sun, 05/02/2010 - 17:08I don't normally drink medium roast beans (I tend to favor darker roasts), but I always love trying new things. I don't consider myself a connoisseur, so I was surprised that the fruity notes really came out for me the first time I tried this. I have never really noticed the "fruitiness" of a coffee before, and I found this interesting and different in a good way. Upon several other tastings, chocolate flavors came through. I tried to rate these beans for what they are, and not necessarily based on what I personally prefer. If you love "strong" coffee, this may not be for you, but it is a nice mild and smooth coffee for those who love medium roasts. The beautiful vibrant red packaging also makes this a nice hostess gift.
