Jennsplinter | Mon, 06/20/2011 - 23:57I recently ordered this Mexican Roast and must say not my favorite. The coffee did not seem to have any depth and left me overall unimpressed. I usually appreciate the light bodied Mexican roasts on a warm summer morning. But this was not light and refreshing at all. Tried in my Technivorm and Chemex. The Chemex allowed for a bit more taste of chocolate notes. Shame as I love the ethos of Higher Ground, but I do believe can be combined for good tasting coffee.
ALMOST UNDRINKABLE
Jennsplinter | Mon, 06/20/2011 - 23:31I have tried this coffee twice now in my Techivorm Moccamaster and also in my Chemex. All three times I received the same result, bitter dense coffee with no undertones or notes to even carry me through my cup. I don't know if I received a burnt batch but yuck!
