The glass is hardy, the gasket makes the trip down south run flawlessly, and is easy to clean due to the wider mouth on the bottom carafe. I replaced the cloth filter with a Silex "Lox-In" glass filter. $10 on ebay for the filter. Saves the cleaning and storing of the cloth filter, though I must say the cloth filter makes ultra clean coffee, no grounds whatsoever. Excellent pot. Excellent price. Highly recommended.

IMAWriter | Thu, 06/30/2011 - 01:19This is now a companion to my Vario. I call it the Vario Jr. It does espresso grind on par with the Vario, and does an especially great job with the press pot grind. Even less fines than the Vario. Highly recommended!

IMAWriter | Thu, 06/16/2011 - 15:16I'd expect nothing less than elegant espresso coffee from an American espresso icon, David Schomer. This iteration of his signature blend is smooth and buttery, with excellent body and rich crema. You might want to tighten your grinder a bit. I'd recommend at least 5 days rest post roast before pulling straight espresso shots, but i snuck a cappa after 3 days (the coffee smelled so good when it arrived) and it was delicious as a milk drink. It only got better. I still had beautiful shots 12 days post roast. Roaste did a fine job, as I expected they would. great service all the way around. The website is quite easy to explore and order from. 5 stars for all.
