Got a French Press (Coffeeblog #10)
My neighbor told me to go to TJ Maxx to find a good deal on a french press. $7.99 for a 12 oz. I almost got the 35 oz. size for $15.99. In fact, I stood there for 10 minutes debating which one to get. I opted for the individual size because I am going to be drinking this by myself mostly and I dont' know maybe I should have gotten the bigger one. But I bought some yellow converse shoes, too. Anyway, got one finally. I'm gonna take a break from cowboy style- and drippers suck cuz the lipids don't go through the filter. I ground up about 3 tablespoons of leftover Starbucks whole bean french roast (as per recommendation in french press instruction- 1 rounded tablespoon for every 4 ounce cup). Perfect. I heated up some purified water and did it. mmmmmm. delicious. Why have I gone so many years without one?

THE PRESS RULES
Gazy | Mon, 08/30/2010 - 11:41Good choice the 12 oz. My next press will be a 12 oz. The big ones are okay when you are entertaining and have to brew a whole lotta coffee, but for single, egocentric enjoyment, the small one is best.
Once you use the press you never go back to espresso of filter; the only other alternative is Turkish.
