Our Recent Changes on Roaste

Gary55 recently wrote, in his review of Nostromo, that Deep Cello's prices had "gone up" and that the quantity had gone down.  There indeed have been a few changes in the Deep Cello line up, and we wanted to take a minute to explain everything.

Roaste has specific shipping arrangements with UPS and prices based upon the weight of the shipping package.  They approached us because our shipping weight exceeded their guidelines set by their relationship with UPS.  So we agreed, because we like roaste and our customers do too.  So we adjusted the size to 12oz and the same day adjusted our prices on Roaste.   Roaste's system allows us to change our list price and our sale price, but does not automatically change our wholesale price to them.  That has to be done by the Roaste staff.

So... it created a short period of time where some customers might have been charged too much.  Our policy when this happened was to continue to send a full 16oz of coffee to everyone affected.  If on the outside chance, you didn't receive 16oz, then by all means reach out to us and we'll take care of it.

Today, the prices to you and prices "behind the scenes" to roaste have all been taken care of.

We have been humbled by the appreciation our roaste customers have expressed about our products, and we try to keep these "first growth" coffees affordable and in the sizes that people need for their daily enjoyment.  Let us know what we can do to help, and we'll continue to do our best to be there for you!

  • YES, I AGREE WITH JBVIAU

yes, i agree with jbviau about smaller quantities. i can rarely finish a 12 oz. bag before it stales, let alone a full one-pounder.

As long as you're asking, I'm a fan of even smaller quantities, i.e. 8 oz. bags. Would this be a size you'd consider offering?

Growing pains happen - it is nice to see your relationship with ROASTe is strong - maybe even stronger since both parties experienced the opportunity to work together modifying their normal practice with a mutually beneficial resolution.
